The Purpose of the Program Fee

Your success with bariatric surgery is dependent on your long-term follow-up.  Patients must eat right and exercise right PLUS have bariatric surgery to lose weight (and keep it off).  The program fee is a $200 fee that is held in an escrow state to encourage your long-term follow-up and success.  It will be refunded to your account when:

  • You return to your 6-month follow-up appointment (if you return within 5-7 months, this is acceptable).  $50 will be returned to your account regardless of your weight loss.
  • You return to your 12-month follow-up appointment (if you return within 10-14 months, this is acceptable). $50 will be returned to your account regardless of your weight loss.
  • You return to your 2-year follow-up appointment (if you return within 22-26 months, this is acceptable).  $50 will be returned to your account regardless of your weight loss and the other $50 will be returned to your account if you are within 20% of your goal weight (as defined at your pre-op appointments).
